The Greenstreams project is managed by EPIKS (Environmental Projects in Kirklees). EPIKS is run by a team of volunteer directors with a high level of expertise and knowledge around environmental and community issues. See www.epiks.org.uk for details.
From December 2020, EPIKS was adopted as the operating name of Environment Kirklees Ltd, a not-for-profit company with many years experience of working to develop the river. Environment Kirklees was previously known as Environmental Alliance Ltd, which merged with Kirklees Environment Partnership in 2016.
Over the years the project has developed a strong backing from local businesses, most of which are close to the river, and from the University of Huddersfield. Business partners can utilise their support for Greenstreams as a means of implementing their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. With this approach Greenstreams has been able to grow in scope and influence.
To review the activities of the Greenstreams Project from 2018 to date see the 2020 Newsletter (March) and the 2019 Newsletter (January). Both are available on-line on Issuu.
Greenstreams is a founder member of the 3 Valleys Nature Park; its prospectus was published on Issuu is October 2020.
